Maxan Restaurant Review:

This chic bistro just off the Champs-Elysées is presided over by the welcoming Serge Conquet. The cuisine has been entrusted to Laurent Zajac, who learned from Alain Dutournier. Zajac delivers traditional French fare with a dash of creativity. Everything is tempting, from the daily specials to hearty dishes like the snails under puff pastry with parsley juice and artichokes; the boiled eggs, which have been fried and coated with bread crumbs; and a beef fillet with bordelaise sauce, accompanied by home-style french fries. To extend the treat, a big pot of vanilla cream may be shared by two. Due to Conquet’s passion for wine, the cellar proves to be rather well-supplied. Set menus at €32 and €40.
