THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Picca Restaurant Review:

Picca boasts a bar rimming its open kitchen that’s nicknamed the “ceviche bar,” therefore the Japanese chef in charge of the raw fish is not called a sushi chef but a ceviche chef. As there are over 45 dishes on the menu, ranging from $5 to $17, your choices are ample, and all are flavorful. Start with stuffed potato with slow-cooked beef, boiled egg and rocoto aïoli, or the delicious scallops served in their shell with Parmesan, spinach and lemon sauce dressing. Move on to the “ceviche crocante” made with halibut, leche de tigre, and crispy calamari. Since Peruvian cuisine may have Japanese influences, you will indeed find sushi, with the usual spicy yellowtail or scallops --- even a version with chicken. From the robata grill, order the beef filet skewers served with sea urchin butter. But we aren’t done yet. Did we mention the Peruvian paella, crispy pork ribs crostini, or the duck leg confit in a black beer sauce atop cilantro rice? Don't leave before enjoying the churros. There’s a short wine list, but we highly recommend the cocktails prepared with pisco, the national alcohol of Peru. Considering the quality of the food and its price, Picca is always packed, so be sure to reserve.
