THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED NAMES @ Bangkok Restaurant Review:
This family-run Thai restaurant has been serving fresh, fulfilling dishes to faithful diners in this Beverly Hills location since the 1970s. For years it was known as The King & I, but a remodel also brought a name change to @ Bangkok. The décor is decidedly more modern with exposed brick walls and rustic wood tables and chairs. Start off with som tum, a salad composed of shredded green papaya with carrots, green beans and tomato with lime juice. You’ll find great flavors in the sauces accompanying dishes like the @ Bangkok Curry with chicken, potatoes and carrots; stir-fried broccoli and shrimp; and snow peas and squid sautéed with soy bean sauce. Thai beers and a limited selection of wine are offered, but they also make a great Thai iced tea. All in all, @ Bangkok provides a great value for homemade Thai food.
