THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bayou Bar & Grill Restaurant Review:
This sleek, contemporary dining room---candlelit polished wood tables beneath cubist paper lanterns hanging from a ceiling with exposed ducts---is the setting for decent crawfish popcorn, fried oyster po'boys, jambalaya and gumbo. The cooking is uneven, and it's best to stick to the more straightforward dishes, which can be paired with a Dixie beer or potent Hurricane. But given the dearth of Louisiana-style cooking in these parts, this is a welcome addition to the local dining scene.
