THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Biergarten Restaurant Review:
Celebrate Oktoberfest all year round on the rooftop of The Standard Downtown LA, which has always been a hot scene in one form or another. After the success of Biergarten at the Manhattan Standard, the concept has been adapted on the West Coast, in a setting that combines rustic and chic qualities. Austrian chef Kurt Gutenbrunner (New York's Wallsé, Café Sabarsky and The Standard New York) has created an authentic German street food-inspired menu that features currywurst, spicy bratwurst with white radish salad, and Bavarian veal-and-pork weisswurst paired with red cabbage salad, potato salad or sauerkraut. A small selection of German beers is on hand, and the experience is as close to a Bavarian beer garden as you can possibly find at a trendy Los Angeles hotel.
