Bistro Miyoda & Sushi Ichiriki Restaurant Review

: Peter Tachikawa’s Japanese and Chinese restaurant is hidden in plain sight in the corner of a shopping center, and worth discovering for home-style food at reasonable prices. Chef Miyoda is almost equally adept at preparing tan-tan noodle soup and orange chicken as he is with miso-broiled sea bass and yellowtail collar with ponzu sauce. The sushi bar offers a variety of fresh raw seafood like velvety uni, luscious scallops with a squeeze of lemon, lobster sashimi, and albacore and bonito nigiri. We also recommend the fairly inventive rolls, as well as steamed clams, creamy monkfish liver, and handmade gyoza. At lunch or dinner, there are compelling combination meals. Specials change frequently, so be sure to check the blackboard before ordering. Two aspects that don’t change: friendly service and reasonable prices.
