 BottleRock Restaurant Review: This Culver City wine bar and shop attracts a bustling, sometimes noisy crowd and its popularity has spawned a second, larger branch of BottleRock at the Met Lofts in downtown Los Angeles. Sit outside on the patio or inside for an eagle-eye view of the knowledgeable staff in action. The wine offerings feature many interesting, eclectic selections from appellations around the globe; pair them with a plate of charcuterie or an assortment of domestic and international cheeses. Shareable plates include smoked salmon mousse crostini; ahi tuna tartare with avocado purée and mango citrus; and cilantro and corn crab cakes with celery root rémoulade and chipotle aïoli. The comfort classic grilled cheese gets an upscale makeover with imported truffle boschetto, provolone and house made truffle butter. End your meal with desserts like flourless chocolate cake or lavender crème brûlée. |
