With its dark wood wainscoting, long banquettes and blackboards of specials, this place has the look of a true bistro. Modern art lines the walls, a sexy “Rouge Lounge” offers circular seating and a patio is protected by a striped awning. In the heart of Hollywood, this brasserie can be a lively scene, but earlier in the evening patrons are preoccupied with dishes like tarte flambé, a classic Alsatian brasserie dish, or a filet mignon with a black truffle-Burgundy reduction. You can also find non-French items like ahi tartare or a Kobe burger before finishing with crêpes Suzette. The wine list leans more toward California than France, but the overall experience is a pleasant blend between the two.
