Cafe Jardin Restaurant Review: Those in the know head over to Café Jardin, which is located inside the lush Sherman Library & Gardens, to experience OC’s chef Pascal Olhats. The serene outpost, set among fanciful gardens, is a welcome treat. Only open for lunch on weekdays and for Sunday brunch, Café Jardin’s cuisine is light and luncheon-y, but still with gourmet flair. Always start with one of the fresh and flavorful salads, such as the beet salad with celery, feta cheese and lemon vinaigrette. The Lorraine-style quiche is always a good bet, but we prefer the seafood dishes or hearty selections like the grilled lamb or slow-braised boneless short ribs. Due to the café’s busy schedule of private events, it's always a good idea to call before visiting.
