The Cafe Restaurant Review:

When gourmet grocery store giant Bristol Farms bought out the old Chasen's space, the public outcry was deafening. In order to keep one last glimmer of Chasen's lore alive, the grocery store left in tact an alcove of the original restaurant. Gone is the white glove treatment and multi-course meals, in its place are short order ham and eggs and mountainous burgers. Some of the original photos of Chasen's favorite celebs still grace the walls. If you turn a blind eye to the waitress in her Bristol Farms T shirt as you nestle into the corner of your richly padded banquet, you can still capture a bit of that old Chasen's magic. By the way, the restaurant still offers the original recipe Chasen's chili and at a price far fairer than in days gone by.
