California Pizza Kitchen Restaurant Review

: Wolfgang Puck invented designer pizza; CPK brought it to the masses. Although the color scheme has changed in the high-tech setting, you can still get hearth-baked pizzas topped with everything from barbecued chicken to hoisin duck, won tons and portobello mushrooms. We advise sticking to the basics---cheese, pepperoni, or fresh tomato, basil and garlic---or going with the generous salads and surprisingly good pastas, while heartier diners start with the two-in-a-bowl soup combinations. This, by the way, is the first CPK of the chain founded by two Hollywood attorneys who, the story goes, got tired of waiting for reservations at Spago. Other locations.
