THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Chao Praya Restaurant Review

: Open since 1971, this is one of the first Thai restaurants in the U.S. At its worst, the food can be greasy and the service impossible. But it is rarely at its worst. In fact, Chao Praya does most of the Thai standbys well: satays, yum yai salads, hot-and-sour soups, fried Thai noodles, curries, and pork, chicken or beef with mint leaves and chili. The best dishes here are probably the sweet, crunchy and spicy barbecued chicken and the fried whole catfish with curry sauce. Beware: when they say hot, they mean hot.
