THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Ciao Trattoria Restaurant Review:
Located in downtown's historic Fine Arts Building since 1993, this unique trattoria's ornate, barrel-vaulted ceiling and rich woods would not seem out of place on Rome's chic via Candotti. And its striking Romanesque-style lobby, available for private parties, would make any affair one to remember. Notable for its striking décor and convenience to downtown theaters, Ciao serves standard trattoria fare: fried calamari, caprese salad, pastas, veal Marsala and tiramisu. Two more interesting options are roasted sea scallops wrapped in applewood-smoked bacon and gnocchi in Gorgonzola cream sauce with toasted walnuts and pine nuts. The food, however, isn’t the draw here.
