Clancy's Crab Broiler Restaurant Review: With its clichéd décor, you'd think Clancy's was just another neighborhood chowder house. Initial impressions aside, it proves to be an accomplished restaurant offering many creative dishes --- not to mention first-rate, Boston-style clam chowder. Whatever you order, there will be warm, pull-apart bread good for dipping in the accompanying honey butter. A popular selection that goes well with the fresh sourdough is the Clancy's Bowl, with mussels, clams, shrimp and scallops in a peppery broth. There are also other sea creatures like cedar-plank cooked salmon, Dungeness crab, sand dabs and Hawaiian ahi, in addition to Angus steak cuts and a few pastas. A limited wine list offers a few seafood-friendly options. |
