Clementine Restaurant Review

: A delicious change of pace from the L.A. rat race, Clementine offers simple, rustic dishes made with time and care. A veteran of the L.A. restaurant scene, owner Annie Miler lets her Eastern roots shine through with her first solo effort, bringing together the best of California's seasonal ingredients with the welcoming, homespun atmosphere of a New England college town café. Highlights include rustic baked goods such as apricot-ginger scones and Saturday-only cinnamon rolls. The Clementine breakfast sandwich is layered with a poached egg, melted cheddar and country ham, while gravlax is cured in-house and served with cream cheese, caperberries and a toasted bagel. For lunch, one can expect sandwiches like the open-face burrata with baby mustard greens, "build your own" grilled cheese, and specialty salads like summer succotash with shrimp. Everything is made from scratch, including the ginger-limeade, and gourmet take-out and catering are also available.
