While the casual, intimate seating here lacks the sleek diner atmosphere, the sizeable menu still pleases vegetarians and vegans with its meatless offerings. Despite its name, this herbivore Mecca is open daily for lunch and dinner. Try the barbecue tempeh ribs, the faux Philly cheesesteak, the spaghetti no-bolognese, or the vegan pancakes made of organic kamut and flax, with soy margarine, fruit and pancake syrup.
