THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Curry House Restaurant Review:
This sleek curry house, all blond woods, is popular with both Japanese and non-Japanese customers alike. And because the prices are below the Beverly Hills norm, youre even likely to find a few contingents of 20-somethings. The thing to order here is curry: rich, savory and very filling, served over massive plates of white rice or spaghetti. The vegetable curry, a combination of potatoes, mushrooms, green beans and cauliflower, is tasty. We also like the chicken cutlet curry, thinly pounded chicken deep fried to a golden crunch and served with a blanket of curry sauce. Those who eat only white-meat chicken however, may want to select something else. The house salad, an admittedly simple preparation of crisp lettuce, corn kernels and tomatoes, is nevertheless delicious in the sprightly house dressing. Dessert adventurers should not miss the coffee gelatin. Also located at 123 S. Onizuka St., #204, Los Angeles, 213-620-9855.
