Curry House Restaurant Review

: Curries are not surprisingly the dish to target at this Little Tokyo restaurant: rich, savory and filling, served over massive plates of white rice or spaghetti. Our two favorites are the vegetable curry, a combination of potatoes, mushrooms, green beans and cauliflower; and the chicken katsu curry, thinly pounded dark meat chicken deep-fried to a golden crunchiness and blanketed with curry sauce. The house salad, a simple preparation of crisp lettuce, corn kernels and tomatoes, is bathed in the sprightly house dressing. Omelets, a teppan hamburger, tofu salads and gratins are available, too. If you’re feeling adventurous at the end of the meal, do not miss the coffee gelatin. Also located at 2130 S. Sawtelle Blvd. #200, Los Angeles, 310-479-8477; 1425 W. Artesia Blvd., Gardena, 310-323-7017; and 21215 Hawthorne Blvd., Torrance, 310-540-8980.
