Spun off from The Grill on the Alley in Beverly Hills, this link in a chain of American eateries appears fashioned after someone's fantasy of a ’40s restaurant, right down to the white-tiled floors, dark wooden booths and Blue Plate specials. The food works for what it is---think burgers, grilled fish and chicken, plus meatloaf and Caesar salads---and the prices reasonable. The skinny fries are great, as are the martinis. Other locations.
