THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Daily Grill Restaurant Review:
Spin-offs of the more expensive and more serious The Grill on the Alley in Beverly Hills, this chain of clean-and-simple American eateries is fashioned after someone's fantasy of a '40s restaurant, right down to the white-tiled floors, dark wooden booths and Blue Plate Specials. The food can be pretty good---burgers, grilled fish and chicken, meatloaf, Caesar salads---and the prices are mostly reasonable. The skinny fries are great, as are the martinis.
