| In an endearing little storefront that feels more like a French bistro---there’s nary a Buddha statue in the place---than an Asian restaurant is Daisy Mint, with walls lined with antique mirrors and a prominent crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling. One can begin with a Thai-inspired steak salad with spicy lime dressing or Vietnamese-style peanut dumplings wrapped in lettuce. Moving on, dishes like pad thai, Korean rib-eye with kimchi, or red pineapple curry with duck consistently satisfy. For dessert, the vegetable reappears in pumpkin custard served in a hollowed-out quartered pumpkin. |
