THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED El Pollo Inka Restaurant Review:
Peru boasts one of the worlds most cross-cultural cuisines, with influences from native to Spanish to Japanese. This branch of one of SoCals most respected ethnic mini-chains is a great place to try it, even if the décor is somewhat mismatched---Peruvian iconography together with...umm...booths with benches in a piano key motif. Favorite dishes include vainita de pollo (green beans sautéed with chicken, onion and tomato), lomo saltado (sautéed beef with onion and tomato), tallarin (spaghetti sautéed with various ingredients) and the namesake rotisserie chicken. Theres also an extensive selection of seafood. Lunch specials are a steal, and if you think that squeeze-bottle of pale, creamy-looking green sauce looks innocent, think again-its loaded with chiles and garlic and will creep up on you. Call ahead to find out about entertainment on weekend nights.
