THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED El Siete Mares Restaurant Review:
At this open-air dive with its plastic patio chair décor, every dish comes with a free side of Sunset Boulevard truck noise and exhaust. Though your lungs may suffer, the seafood burritos will satisfy your stomach. The tortilla-wrapped behemoths are especially impressive when stuffed with fried shrimp, buttery rice, corn and peas. Fire-eaters can spoon on spicy red salsa. Skip the water-logged fish ceviche and order the shrimp version instead. Piled onto a crisp, Frisbee-size tostada, the cool, lime-marinated crustaceans deliver. There are also pretty good tacos: fried fish, shrimp or calamari, doused with salsa and shredded lettuce. Seafood cocktails round out the simple but effective menu. Scrawled above the window, the menu also advertises chicken and carne asada options, as well as oysters on the half shell.
