Enterprise Fish Co. Restaurant Review: Occupying a 1917 brick building that was renovated but maintained much of the original flavor, Enterprise Fish Co. is a bustling place with a lively bar scene, cozy booths and patio with a fire pit. Vintage photos of Venice Beach decorate the place, along with a prominent lobster tank. The kitchen obviously specializes in fresh seafood, much of it mesquite-grilled, but steaks are also available. After starters like lobster bisque or a Dungeness crab cocktail, guests tuck into favorites that include mesquite-grilled prawns, golden fried coconut shrimp, fish ‘n’ chips, cioppino, jambalaya and Maine lobster. The wine list---predominantly California-driven, but with some good values from around the globe---complements the menu. For dessert, consider the house’s specialty: flash-fried battered strawberries rolled in cinnamon and sugar, with crème anglaise.
