Edwin Mills by Equator Restaurant Review:
Tucked into a pedestrian alleyway in busy Old Pasadena is this former coffee bar that once appeared in shows like Beverly Hills 90210 and Melrose Place. It then transformed into a hip, pan-Asian eatery and lounge, and its current incarnation offers New American fare. The work of local artist Michael Hussar contributes to the décor, while tables are lined along banquettes with throw pillows. Dinner can start off with a salad, braised pork belly or spicy tuna bites. Then choose from a range of burgers or consider entrées of shepherd’s pie, “Oodles of Noodles” or short rib with risotto. For dessert, look for Nutella chocolate cheesecake and a house brownie à la mode. Authentic dim sum specialties are served alongside more contemporary fare during weekend brunch.
