 Jeff Cerciello, former culinary director of Thomas Keller's Bouchon, Bouchon Bakery and ad hoc, is behind this artisan restaurant in the Brentwood Country Mart. Thus, it's no surprise that the quality of the baked goods is high---with prices to match. (This is Brentwood after all, even if the setting is casual and rustic.) Executive chef Joshua Drew's breakfast options range from a “rolled omelet” with fried potatoes and toasted croissant to smoked fish, farmers cheese and heirloom beets while lunch brings a poached chicken salad and steak sandwich and fries. Brunch may begin with granola and progress to the frittata (cherry wood smoked bacon, onions, ricotta and broccoli di ciccio). Multi-course family-style dinner dishes change each evening, but Sundays feature Cerciello’s take on fried chicken.
