 Although aimed at the tourist crowd, this longstanding Old Sacramento staple is a good choice for locals as well. Housed in a Gold Rush-era building, the interior is awash with charm, from the original brick walls to the stained glass windows to the wooden bar dating back to 1876. The menu features American classics as well as Asian-inspired specialties. Appetizers include pot stickers alongside tomato basil crostini and garlic fries. Entrées also run the gamut, from the bourbon barbecue burger to chow mein to a Southwestern vegetable wrap. More substantial dishes include tequila lime tri-tip, braised English short ribs, and a Japanese-style pork cutlet.
