The unassuming and unheralded Fortune does a pretty solid job with traditional favorites like honey-glazed walnut shrimp, kung pao scallops, hot sauce crispy chicken (there's no pork on the menu) and even Peking duck. There is a considerable emphasis on health-conscious ingredients and preparation, with low calorie counts listed alongside many menu entries. Aesthetically, Fortune is a cut above the typical neighborhood Chinese restaurant, with white-linened tablecloths, rich wood accents and tasteful art. And the service at this neighborhood charmer could not be any warmer or more accommodating. A small selection of beer and wine is available.
