: Italy-born Enrico Glaudo and his wife, Susan, opened Frascati Ristorante & Bar in Redondo Beach, then moved the restaurant to its current home atop the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Vibrant pictures of Italy decorate the walls of the open dining room, done in a light orange hue. The menu ranges from several appetizers, pizzas and pastas to a grill section. Paper-thin beef carpaccio offers classic flavors with its lemon-mustard dressing, capers and shaved Parmesan. Unfortunately, the tomato and mozzarella pizza topped with sautéed mushrooms and asparagus was slightly soggy in the center, but the house-made roasted veal ravioli with a traditional sage and brown butter sauce oozes a welcome buttery richness and has a slight nutty quality. Signature entrées include branzino with a lemon-caper sauce and a tender lamb shank braised in Barolo. Tiramisu is traditional, and the lemon tart zings with citrus. The wine list is split evenly between selections from Italy and California.
