| Our skepticism about this trendy looking place capitalizing on two popular cuisines was exacerbated by disoriented service and curry-stained tablecloths. But the restaurant is indeed attractive, its clean, ultra-modern surfaces splashed with lime green paint and its airy spaces occupied by tables lining wooden banquettes with colorful throw pillows. The food is more than respectable, too, with all the familiar Thai staples sharing the menu with more ambitious dishes: Chilean sea bass in tamarind sauce, salmon in pineapple curry sauce, rack of lamb marinated in Thai herbs and honey---all attractively presented. And surprisingly, the sushi is decent, too, with an emphasis on tasty rolls like spicy double shrimp. |
