 Gladstone's Restaurant Review: This sprawling, 9,000-square-foot restaurant with harbor views is conveniently located close by the Aquarium of the Pacific and the Long Beach Convention & Entertainment Center. The fresh fish selection changes daily. For starters, there are sushi rolls, coconut shrimp with pineapple-plum sauce, and steamers. For entrées, you’ll find Maine lobster as well as Parmesan-crusted halibut and truffle-scented lobster mac ‘n’ cheese. Salmon, ahi, mahi mahi and locally caught sea bass are simply prepared, whether blackened Cajun-style or dappled in beurre blanc. For desserts, expect favorites like “mile-high” chocolate cake or macadamia-crusted apple pie with pineapple-coconut ice cream. The wine list is pro forma, but very reasonably priced. |
