THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Grapevine Restaurant Restaurant Review:

Although it’s a large, handsome restaurant---with linen-clad tables, a prominent stone fireplace and a sprawling patio ideal for parties and hookah---we were disappointed in the quality of food at Grapevine. The lentil soup would have been quite satisfying but for an overwhelming dose of cumin, and we found the chicken kebabs slightly tough. The chicken shwarma arrives in a pool of thin sauce, and is not cooked on a spit as is the tradition in many Middle Eastern restaurants. As a result, the meat lacks color, flavor and dimension. A selection of mezze is the best way to enjoy Grapevine, concentrating on items like the halloum (a pan-fried goat cheese), spicy soujouk sausage, and hummus sprinkled with chunks of lamb and pine nuts.
