 This whimsical oxymoron---a smoke-free steakhouse named for a cigar-smoking vegetarian---is a fitting tribute to the memory of a Las Vegas icon, Hank Greenspun. Elegant amenities include crystal chandeliers, custom-made glass wine cabinets, a spacious inner-lit translucent onyx bar-top and a marble bar-top around a grand piano. For starters, we like the lobster, potato and corn chowder and the mixed greens with goat cheese. Among hand-cut, corn-fed, 28-day-aged, mesquite-broiled USDA Prime steaks are Châteaubriand for two, a 12-ounce filet mignon, 28-ounce bone-in rib-eye and a porterhouse for two. The rack of lamb Provençal for two is also a favorite. Seafood lovers' choices include swordfish, Nantucket day-boat scallops, ahi and a 32-ounce Australian lobster tail. Among sides are grilled tomatoes with spinach and cheese, tater tots plain or truffled, and garlic, Gorgonzola or horseradish mashed potatoes. The kid in us likes Hank's signature dessert---soft white chocolate cheesecake s’mores; the adult in us goes for the martini selections---30 of them in all---including Hank's dirty martini blending Grey Goose, dry vermouth, olive juice and olives. Talented pianists perform in the chic lounge Tuesday through Saturday.
