Hurry Curry of Tokyo Restaurant Review: Spicy, medium or mild is the question at this casual curry spot. Like many of our city's most beloved Japanese restaurants, Hurry Curry of Tokyo is located in a strip mall so it's not much to look at---just a simple box with plain wooden tables and chairs. The curry, however, is delicious: a full-flavored and thick blend of 21 signature spices filled with white-meat chicken and vegetables, or perhaps spinach and mushrooms, that you spoon over sticky white rice or spaghetti. You can also order gyoza, ground beef croquettes or a fine chicken cutlet, lightly fried and served with more of that glorious golden curry. To drink, order a saké martini accented with apple, lychee or pomegranate. Also located at 37 S. Fair Oaks Ave., Pasadena, 626-792-8474.
