 Il Cielo Restaurant Review: We encourage you to try chef/owner Pasquale Vericella’s fun cuisine. There is a quotidian tasting menu based upon the chef's findings, and a stable and simple à la carte menu. Sardinian flatbread is served with prosciutto and Parmigiana-Reggiano for a winning start, in addition to sweet pea soup with shallots and leeks. Risotto is cooked with porcini mushrooms, and pappardelle is mixed with whole Maine lobster in a fresh cherry tomato sauce. There's also Russian salmon in a bell pepper sauce, a 22-ounce bone-in rib-eye with rapini, and New Zealand lamb chops with sweet potato in Barolo wine sauce. Apple tart and panna cotta make their way onto the dessert menu, while an intriguing and lengthy wine list is dominated by Italian options. This longtime Beverly Hills hideaway, with its charming and romantic garden filled with lights, has hosted hundreds of weddings. Despite a little street noise, the front patio is choice, although the indoor dining rooms with mirrored walls, fireplace and cherubs painted on the ceiling are romantic as well. |
