THIS RESTAURANT HAS CLOSED. A charming little eatery next door to the historic Rialto Theater, this venture of highly regarded chef Antonio Orlando (Fresco Ristorante, in Glendale) provides one of the rare opportunities in South Pasadena for a casual---yet rewarding---meal. The two-level restaurant, dressed in buttercup yellow with matching linen, is cozy and inviting. Solid appetizers include creamy burrata, crêpes topped with smoked salmon and mascarpone, garlicky steamed clams, and delightful small pizzas with delicate crimped-edge crusts. Pastas include tagliatelle with chicken and mushrooms in cream sauce and spaghetti puttanesca. Risotto is an Orlando specialty, the veal chop is excellent, and desserts are worth sticking around for.
