THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CLOSED The first-floor dining room, with its cozy banquettes and small bar, is a fine place to enjoy the famed tomato soup topped with puff pastry, a rich and winy coq au vin, mussels steamed in Beaujolais or hearty steak frites. For more sophisticated dining, try the mezzanine or take the elevator up to the elegant third floor where dishes such as roasted squab with foie gras or rack of lamb with blue cheese potatoes can seem worthy of the sky-high price tag.
