The Larder at Maple Drive Restaurant Review: The Larder at Maple Drive is fast-food Beverly Hills-style. A venture of chef Suzanne Goin, an Alice Waters protégé, and business partner Caroline Styne (Lucques, A.O.C., Tavern), this is a retail take-out spot for breakfast and lunch items modeled after the concept introduced at The Larder at Tavern in Brentwood. Expect a salad with chopped chicken, shell beans, fingerling potatoes, marinated tomatoes, tapenade and egg. Sandwiches reflect a wide range of tastes; the “Maple Drive” features meatloaf, Russian dressing and butter lettuce, while “the Spaniard” is stuffed with various Spanish cured meats, cheeses and quince paste. In the morning, you can enjoy challah french toast, oatmeal or a simple pain au chocolat to go with artisanal coffees.
