In the sleepy Parisian suburbs of Pré Saint-Gervais, the Pouilly-Reuilly is still going strong after two generations, turning out old-time specialties like veal head in a warm vinaigrette and flavorful oeufs en meurette, poached eggs in a red wine sauce with lardons. Charm and conviviality set the tone at this vintage bistro, once favored by former President François Mitterrand. Professional service is ensured by the daughters of Christian Millet, the owner. Prix-fixe menu at €29; à la carte around €50.
