Le Violon d'Ingres Restaurant Review:
Due to the influence of Alain Senderens, chef Christian Constant fights for a more democratic haute-cuisine. This former chef of Les Ambassadeurs has thus eliminated valet parking and fussily decorated tables, in favor of an always chic décor, but more modest, and a cuisine more and more bourgeoise, gastronomic and local, stabilizing the prix-fixe menu to €80. Brioche-like foie gras, pork-feet andouillette sausage with wine-red sauce, and a hot vanilla soufflé demonstrate the perfection, but, from now on, at sweeter prices. Good wine list.
