| This smart looking dining room in the heart of a vibrant commercial area designated East Washington Village serves up some very respectable Lebanese and Armenian fare. The hummus is first-rate, and it comes with most of the well-priced entrées, along with a chopped tabbouleh salad, rice pilaf and pita bread. Other starters include barbecued quail, falafel and football-shaped kufta (meatballs with onions and pine nuts, deep-fried). We also recommend the kebabs, cooked over an open flame, which are charred to perfection but moist and juicy inside (and accompanied by potent garlic sauce). The dining room, with linen-topped tables and tourism posters lining the walls, is soothing and pleasant. |
