 Les Elysees du Vernet Restaurant Review: This romantic, classic French restaurant (formerly presided over by chef Eric Briffard) is set under a magnificent glass dome designed by Gustave Eiffel. Look for appetizers such as seasonal vegetable soup with smoked duck breast. Or opt for the foie gras with apple and quince chutney. Main courses include a diverse roster of fish and meat dishes including pan-fried scallops with mashed sweet potatoes and braised beef cheek “Burgundy style.” Desserts are artfully displayed and present a panoply of fruit from all over France---figs from Solliès, lemon from Menton and Mirabelle plums from Lorraine. |
