L'Instant d'Or Restaurant Review: Just off the Champs-Elysées, this restaurant is comprised of three refined rooms done in beige and white tones. Chef Frédéric Duca, a native of Marseille who formerly worked at Fouquet’s and was a second of Hélène Darroze, offers a creative cuisine, with a few Mediterranean accents. He intentionally highlights the products, though sometimes too many flavours mingle in his plates. We enjoyed the sea bass carpaccio with an oyster cream topped by caviar and apple perfumed with lime, and the pan-fried Wagyu flank steak with beef cheek mixed with potatoes in a croquette. Talented pastry chef Kiriko Nakamura delivers a melting chocolate biscuit accompanied by hazelnut crumble and a sugar-coated parfait. Prices are rather stiff at night but more affordable at lunch with prix-fixe menus at €42 and €49.
