Why not take some time off and linger in the The Lobby Lounge of the historic The Langham, Huntington Hotel & Spa Pasadena, enjoying a beautiful view of the San Gabriel Valley at its afternoon tea? A delicate selection of teas (Afternoon Darjeeling, Lapsan Souchang, English Breakfast, Earl Grey, China Rose Petal and Scottish Breakfast), and tisanes (Chamomile, Peppermint and various fruits) have been prepared as elegant beverages. Your tea will be accompanied by tea sandwiches (smoked salmon, poached asparagus and cherry tomato on sun-dried tomato bread; gulf shrimp, marinated cucumber, wheel of egg), freshly baked raisin and apricot scones, fruit tartlets and an extensive choice of petits-fours ($20.50). The Royal Tea begins with a glass of Champagne ($28.50). Classical entertainment (piano or harp) is performed as it should be. Before leaving, take a walk in the 23-acre lush park, and admire the Horseshoe and Japanese gardens.
