 Lucky Devils Restaurant Review: If you're lucky, a meal at Lucky Devils will include a devilish grin from the charming owner Lucky Vanous---and your chances are good since he is generally here every day and night. We do find it ironic that the male model-actor who became famous through a Diet Coke commercial is behind a casual spot specializing in all-American burger-centric fare that most models would not go near---but that means all the more for us! Among the specialties are Kobe beef sliders spiked with hot sauce, a white cheddar-and-Parmesan grilled cheese loaded with double-smoked bacon and caramelized onions, and hickory smoked baby back ribs with addictive sweet potato fries. Wash it all down with a hand-crafted beer from the terrific international selection, which includes two dozen drafts on tap. Finish with a decadent Belgian Liège waffle sundae topped with salted Chimay beer caramel sauce. It's all served in a hip high-tech setting that is also surprisingly family-friendly. Look out for weekday value specials like the $10 Kobe Beef Lucky Burger on Tuesdays and a free six-ounce frozen custard shake with entrée purchase on Mondays. |
