Mellow Mushroom Restaurant Review: “The 'Shroom,” as it's locally known, is the city's homegrown pizza chain. This location is modern and sleek, and boasts strategically placed TVs throughout, along with both indoor and outdoor patios. The house special pizza piles on meats and veggies, but the more classically styled Gourmet White appeals to the purist. Items are prepared with nutrition in mind: the whole-grain dough is made with spring water and the sauces have no added sugar. Salads abound, and sandwiches, available by the half order, come on whole-grain breads with a good side salad. There are plenty of vegetarian selections as well. Slices are served only at lunch Monday-Friday, until about 1:30 p.m. Thirty-five beers are on tap, as well as ten wines by the glass. Other locations. |
