Five Happiness Restaurant Review:

Familiar Chinese-American fare like sweet-and-sour anything, fried rice, chow mein and crackly egg rolls are the typical hit parade that keeps Five Happiness busy. The menu's few exotic flavors include pungently seasoned pot stickers, fine steamed meat buns, crunchy soft-shell crabs and tender crawfish tails in hot garlic sauce. Crispy whole fish with fresh steamed vegetables (available with a choice of five sauces) is a good dinner for two. The specials board in the lobby lists some of the restaurant’s best creations, so be sure to check it before ordering. The wine selections are limited, but who goes to a Chinese restaurant for fine wines anyway? For dessert, the almond cookies are always delightful, but the honey banana provides a smooth finish. The colorful Hong Kong Hollywood dining room is festooned with gilded dragons and openwork screens.
