Horsefeathers Restaurant Review:

The “drink your meal” mentality associated with most pubs doesn’t apply at this Tarrytown establishment, with its décor bearing more than a few artifacts in homage to the Legend of Sleepy Hollow and the headless horseman. Food goes well beyond the standard pub candidates. Starters include soups like a creamy Maryland crab bisque that is full of delicate seafood flavors; French onion soup is savory and satisfying. Entrées such as Stonnington scallops over penne, and sandwiches like the turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy demonstrate that diversity is the key when it comes to the menu. Desserts include strawberry shortcake and the Magic Mountain with vanilla ice cream, walnut and coconut cookie, drizzled with hot chocolate syrup and topped with whipped cream. Hundreds of beers by the bottle are available, with several from local microbreweries, along with wine and martinis.
