Ivy at the Shore Restaurant Review:
The design is vintage upscale beach shack, with toy ships and even a mini-mechanical band among the antique tchotchkes. Co-owners Lynn von Kersting and Richard Irving haven't strayed far from the original Ivy's menu, offering high-priced but huge portions of American comfort food with a Southern kick: crab cakes, Cajun pizza, crab salad and fried chicken. Order a side of crackling Maui onion rings. For dessert, there are Irving's chocolate chip cookies and white chocolate-lemon cake. Cocktails include a luxe $99 French rosé Champagne sangría with farmers market peaches, nectarines, apricots and tangerines served over ice in a goblet.
