Moti Mahal Delux Restaurant Review:
The first U.S. outpost of the popular chain of restaurants (there are about 100 scattered around the subcontinent), Moti Mahal Delux serves up better-than-average Indian fare, making it a dining asset on the Upper East Side and even a destination for those who live elsewhere in the city. Start with the fritter sampler: okra, chicken, squid and shrimp, all of which fortunately lack the greasiness one usually finds in this dish. Then move on to the restaurant’s signature, butter chicken, or the ultra-tender chicken tandoori. End the meal with pistachio and saffron ice cream. You won’t be sorry.
